The short version
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. That is why you do not see a cookie banner. Our own visit counter keeps one random ID in your browser's local storage (not a cookie), and it switches itself off if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
What we use
- Analytics: we use a self-hosted copy of Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to count visits and see which pages people read. It does not set cookies, does not use your IP address to identify you, and does not follow you to other sites. The data lives on our own server.
- Forms: when you send the free-audit or contact form, the details you type are sent to our inbox. No cookie is set.
- Our own visit counter: a small script we wrote (
/js/lv.js) tells our own server which pages were viewed. See the next section for exactly what it stores. - Browser storage for tools: a tool page may remember what you typed into a calculator, in your own browser only, so it is still there if you come back. What you type is not sent to us.
Our visit counter, in detail
- In your browser: one random ID (
lv_vid) in local storage, so we can tell a returning visitor from a new one, and a visit ID (lv_sid) in session storage that resets after 30 minutes without activity or when you close the tab. The IDs are made up at random. They do not contain your name, email or anything about your device, and we do not use fingerprinting. - What it sends to our server: the page you viewed, the website that sent you here (for example a search engine or an AI assistant), campaign tags in the link if there are any, whether the screen is phone-sized or larger, your browser language, how long the page was open, when you use one of our free tools, and whether you sent one of our forms.
- What it does not do: it sets no cookies, does not store your IP address, does not follow you to other websites, and does not share or sell anything. The data stays on our own server and is used only to see which pages and tools help people.
- If you send a form: the random ID is attached to your request so we can see which pages you read before you contacted us.
Third parties
We do not load third-party advertising, social media widgets or embedded trackers. Fonts are served from our own server. Videos, where used, are embedded with privacy-enhanced settings.
Your choices
Because we set no tracking cookies, there is nothing to accept or decline. If you want our visit counter off:
- Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser. The counter checks for both and sends nothing.
- Clear this site's data in your browser settings (look for "site data" or "cookies and site data" for lirevon.com). That removes the random ID; a private or incognito window never keeps it.
- Block the scripts with any content blocker. The site works the same without them.
