Service

AI receptionist

By Umair Nawaz, founder of Lirevon Updated How we check facts

An AI receptionist is a voice assistant on your business line that answers when the call goes unanswered, asks the questions you would ask, books the estimate into your calendar and sends you a text summary, instead of the call going to voicemail.

The missed-call text catches the people who will text. The AI receptionist catches the people who will not: the older homeowner, the caller driving, the one who just wants a human-sounding voice to say the crew will come Tuesday. It answers after 20 seconds of ringing, speaks in plain English, never oversells, and hands anything complicated to you.

What you get

Answers after you could not

Your phone rings first, always. If nobody picks up within 20 seconds, the receptionist answers in your company's name. You still get every call that you can take.

Asks the right three questions

What happened, where, and is anyone hurt or is a line involved. Emergencies get flagged and you get a text at once. Routine work gets booked.

Books the estimate

It offers the real slots from your booking calendar, confirms one, and sends the homeowner a confirmation text with a link to send a photo.

Texts you the summary

Within a minute of the call you have the name, address, problem, urgency and the booked time in a text and in the inbox. No voicemail to listen to.

Sounds like your company

You pick the voice and approve the greeting and the questions. It says it is an assistant if asked; it never pretends to be a person.

Knows when to stop

Price haggling, complaints, anything odd: it takes the number, promises a call back within the hour, and texts you. The task lands in your inbox.

How it works

  1. 1

    Script day

We write the greeting, the questions and the booking wording from your kickoff call. You listen to a test call and change anything.

  2. 2

    Connected to your line

It sits behind your existing number. Calls still ring you first; the receptionist only answers what you miss.

  3. 3

    Live, watched

For the first two weeks we read every transcript and tighten the script. Every call is summarised in the inbox.

  4. 4

    Monthly review

Calls answered, estimates booked, emergencies flagged, and the calls it handed to you, in the monthly report.

Questions

Will homeowners hang up on a robot?

Some will, and they get the text-back 30 seconds later, so nothing is lost. Most stay when the voice is natural, the greeting is honest and the first question is about their tree, not about them.

Does it replace my office person?

No. It covers the calls nobody could take: on the job, after hours, during a storm week. If you have someone answering, they stay first in line.

Can it give prices?

Only ranges you approve in writing, for example "stump grinding usually starts around X". Anything beyond that it books an estimate instead of guessing.

What does it cost?

It is part of the Core plan, $497 a month, with 300 answered minutes a month included. Minutes above that are billed at cost, and the monthly report shows how many minutes you used.

Is the call recorded?

Call summaries and transcripts live in your inbox and are yours. Full call recordings are part of the Growth plan, and where state law requires it the call starts with a short notice. This is not legal advice.

What about Spanish?

Spanish answering is part of the Growth plan ($997 a month) along with custom scripts. On Core the receptionist answers in English, and the text-back can still reach Spanish speakers with wording you approve.

How long does setup take?

About 7 days with the rest of the system. We write the script from a 45-minute kickoff call, you listen to a test call and change anything, and calls start going through once the carrier registration for the texting side is done.

Is there a contract?

No long contract. It is month to month and you cancel with 30 days' notice. Founding clients also get a 60-day refund of the setup fee if the system does not bring 3 extra booked estimates, when they do their part.

I already have an answering service. Do I need this?

Not necessarily. If your service books real estimates and sends you good summaries, keep it. If it only takes messages, the AI receptionist can replace it. We will tell you which on the kickoff call, not sell you both.

Does it work with my phone carrier and phone setup?

It works through call forwarding, which the major US carriers and most business phone systems support. Your phone rings first and only forwards when you miss the call. We test it with you on the kickoff call.

What about after hours, storms and emergencies?

It answers day and night, weekends too, because it is software. It asks if anyone is hurt or if a power line is involved, flags that as urgent and texts you at once. During a storm week it keeps booking while the crew is out. It never promises same-day work you have not approved.

Who owns the call data, and what do I see each month?

You do. The call summaries, transcripts and customer details are yours, and if you cancel you take them with you. The monthly report shows calls answered, estimates booked, emergencies flagged and the calls it passed to you.

Part of the Never-Miss-A-Job System
