Review requests after every job

By Umair Nawaz, founder of Lirevon Updated How we check facts

A review system sends each customer a short text with the business's Google review link as soon as the job is marked done, follows up once if nothing happens, and replies to every review that comes in.

Owners who ask get reviews. Owners who hope do not. In our October 2026 check of 6,842 tree companies, the median was 44 Google reviews and the average rating was 4.8. Rating does not separate you from the next company. Review count and recency do.

What you get

One tap when the job is done

Mark the job done in the inbox, or reply "done" to the task text. The review request goes out from your number with your Google link. Nothing to remember on site.

Worded for a yes

"Thanks for choosing [your company] today. If we did a good job, a quick Google review helps the crew a lot: [link]". Short, personal, one link, STOP line included.

One reminder, then stop

No review after three days? One friendly reminder. Then it ends. The customer is never chased.

Unhappy customer? You hear first

The text invites a reply. A customer with a complaint usually texts back instead of posting. You fix it before it becomes a one-star.

Every review gets a reply

Within one business day, in your voice. Thank the good ones by name, answer the bad ones calmly. The next homeowner reads the replies.

Old customers, once a quarter

A reactivation text to past customers: a seasonal check, a storm reminder, a pruning offer. Only to people who were customers, only four times a year.

How it works

  1. 1

    Get your review link

The short Google link that opens the review box directly. We set it in your Console settings once.

  2. 2

    Write the ask

One request text and one reminder, in your voice. You approve both.

  3. 3

    Mark jobs done

From the inbox, the task list, or by replying to the task text. That is the whole habit.

  4. 4

    Watch the count climb

The Reputation page shows requests sent, reviews in, and your rating. The monthly report shows the trend.

Questions

Is asking for reviews allowed?

Yes. Google allows asking customers for reviews. What is not allowed is paying for them, gating (only asking happy customers), or writing them yourself. We do none of that.

How many reviews will I get?

It depends on your job volume and your customers, and we do not promise a number. Your own rate shows after the first month. Use the review calculator to see what a different number of new reviews would do to your rating.

What if I get a bad review?

We reply within a day, calmly and briefly, and tell you. Most bad reviews come from people who felt ignored. The text-back and the inbox fix that upstream.

Can you remove bad reviews?

Only Google can, and only when a review breaks its rules (fake, off-topic, abusive). We flag those for you. Honest bad reviews stay, and a good reply does more than removal would.

How long does setup take?

About a day of work after your kickoff call: your review link, the request wording and the reminder. It goes live in the first week with the rest of the system.

Is there a contract?

No long contract. Month to month, 30 days' notice. Review requests are part of the Core plan at $497 a month.

I already have a review tool. Do I need to switch?

Not if it works. If it texts customers and you have a steady flow, we can keep it. If it is unused or costs extra, we can replace it. Do not run two tools that both text the same customer.

Does it work with my phone carrier?

The request goes from your registered business text number, not from your personal phone, so it should reach customers on the major US carriers. The one-time business text registration and the small monthly number fee are billed at cost.

What happens when I cancel?

You keep every review, because they live on your Google profile, and your customer list goes with you. We stop the texts on the last day and turn off our access.

Can it ask in Spanish?

Yes. If your customer prefers Spanish, the request and the reminder can be sent in Spanish. Tell us on the kickoff call and we write both versions for you to approve.

What about customers I serve after a storm, in a rush?

The request works the same: mark the job done and the text goes out. After storm work customers are often the most grateful, so it is a good time to ask. We keep it short and send only one reminder.

What do I see in reporting, and who owns the data?

The Reputation page and the monthly report show requests sent, reviews in, your rating and the trend. The customer list and the replies are yours, and you can export them at any time.
