Buyer's guide, 2026

Best CRM and software for tree service companies (2026)

By Umair Nawaz, founder of Lirevon Updated How we check facts

We sell one of the options on this page, a done-for-you system for the lead side. We try to be fair, we name where others are stronger, and we have no affiliate deals. Facts about other companies come from their own websites, checked 26 Oct 2026, with links.

What a 1-5 crew company actually needs

Seven jobs. You do not need a tool for each one on day one. Find the one that costs you the most work today and fix that first.

  • Estimating

Send a clear written quote fast, with photos, line items and an approve button. Speed matters: the first clear quote often wins.

Usually comes from: Field service software

  • Scheduling and dispatch

Put approved jobs on a calendar, group them by area, and tell each crew where to be. For 1-2 crews a shared calendar can work.

Usually comes from: Field service software

  • Invoicing and payments

Turn a finished job into an invoice and take card or bank payment, so you are not chasing checks.

Usually comes from: Field service software (or your accounting app)

  • CRM (customer list)

One place for every customer, address, past job and note, so you can follow up and win repeat work.

Usually comes from: Both field service and marketing tools have one

  • Phones and missed-call text-back

When you are up a tree and miss a call, the caller gets a text in seconds instead of calling the next company.

Usually comes from: Marketing platforms, answering services, done-for-you agencies

  • Reviews

Ask every happy customer for a Google review by text, right after the job.

Usually comes from: Marketing platforms, some field service tools

  • Website and Google profile

A fast site that says what you do, where, and how to book, plus a complete Google Business Profile.

Usually comes from: Website builders, agencies

The options

The main options, by type

Examples only, not a ranking. Each fact is from the company's own site, checked 26 Oct 2026. We do not list their prices because they change; check each pricing page.

Field service software

Runs the job: quote, schedule, invoice, get paid.

  • ArboStar

Says it is designed specifically for tree-care and landscaping businesses. Names estimating, scheduling, invoicing and follow-up, an integrated CRM, equipment management, GPS tracking and a live job map.

    Source: www.arbostar.com/, checked 26 Oct 2026

  • SingleOps

Its site (now under granum.com) says it was built to improve the daily operations of tree care companies. Names tree inventory, estimating, automated client follow-ups, scheduling and routing, crew work orders, and invoicing and payments.

    Source: granum.com/singleops/, checked 26 Oct 2026

  • Jobber

General field service software for home service businesses. Names quoting, scheduling, invoicing and payments, and offers a free trial with no credit card required.

    Source: www.getjobber.com/, checked 26 Oct 2026

  • ServiceTitan

Describes itself as software for commercial and residential trades, with solutions for enterprise, franchise and private equity operators. Names dispatching, scheduling, call booking, marketing, reporting, accounting and financing.

    Source: www.servicetitan.com/, checked 26 Oct 2026

Where they are strong: Best at the work after the phone call: quotes, crews, invoices, payments. The tree-specific tools add things like tree inventory and equipment tracking.

Where they fall short: Most are not built to catch a missed call in 30 seconds or run your Google profile. You still have to set them up and keep them updated yourself.

All-in-one marketing platforms

Catches and follows up leads: texting, reviews, sites.

  • HighLevel (GoHighLevel)

Calls itself an AI-powered operating system. Names a CRM, missed-call text-back, reputation management, and websites, funnels and landing pages. Its plans are aimed at marketers and agencies. Offers a 14-day free trial.

    Source: www.gohighlevel.com/, checked 26 Oct 2026

  • Podium

Describes itself as an AI-powered lead generation and management platform for local businesses, built around an AI Employee that responds to leads, qualifies them and books appointments.

    Source: www.podium.com/, checked 26 Oct 2026

Where they are strong: Very powerful and flexible. If you like software and have evening hours, you can build almost anything.

Where they fall short: Not built for quoting tree jobs or routing crews. Setup takes real time, and business texting registration (A2P) has to be done right before texts go out.

Answering services

A person (or an AI) answers calls you miss.

Where they are strong: A real human voice on the phone, which some callers prefer, and no software to learn.

Where they fall short: Typically priced per minute or per call, so busy storm weeks cost more. Most take a message rather than book the estimate or follow up later. Get two or three quotes.

Done-for-you agencies (like Lirevon)

A team sets up and watches the lead side for you.

Where they are strong: You do not touch the software. One team owns text-back, booking, reviews, website and Google profile, and sends a plain report.

Where they fall short: Costs more cash than doing it yourself, and you depend on the agency. Most, including us, do not replace field service software for quotes, crews and invoices.

If quotes and crews are the mess

Start with field service software. Run two free trials side by side with real jobs for two weeks. See our estimating guide.

If missed calls and slow follow-up are the leak

Start with text-back, booking and review requests, built yourself or done for you. See our missed calls guide.

Honest part

We are one option. Here is when we are not the right fit.

Lirevon sets up and watches the lead side for you: missed-call text-back, an AI receptionist, a lead inbox, online booking, review requests, a 5-page website and a Google profile tune-up. Core is $497/month plus $997 setup. We are a remote team that works US hours.

  • You mainly need quotes, crew schedules and invoices. Get field service software first. Our system does not do estimating, dispatch or invoicing.
  • You already miss very few calls, have plenty of reviews and a site that books jobs. Then you do not need us.
  • You enjoy setting up software and have the evening hours. Building it yourself costs less cash.
  • You want a live human to answer every call. A good answering service fits that better than an AI receptionist.
  • You want proof from other tree companies first. We have no tree-service clients yet; our first case studies are planned for December 2026.

Questions owners ask

What is the best CRM for a small tree service?

There is no single best one. If your pain is quotes, scheduling and invoices, pick field service software, and try a tree-specific one like ArboStar or SingleOps next to a general one like Jobber. If your pain is missed calls and slow follow-up, look at text-back and booking first. Use free trials and pick the one your crew will actually use.

Do I need tree-specific software, or will general field service software do?

General tools handle quotes, schedules and invoices well for many trades. Tree-specific tools add things like tree inventory, equipment tracking and job maps. If you do a lot of plant health care or commercial work, tree-specific features can matter more.

Can one app do everything?

Some try. In practice most small tree companies end up with a field service app for the job side and something else for calls, texting and reviews. Two tools that each work well beat one tool nobody uses.

Is Lirevon a CRM?

Not in the usual sense. Lirevon is a done-for-you system for the lead side: missed-call text-back, an AI receptionist, a lead inbox, online booking, review requests, a website and a Google profile tune-up. It does not do estimating, crew scheduling or invoicing.

Should I use GoHighLevel myself?

You can. HighLevel's own site lists a CRM, missed-call text-back, reputation management and websites, with a 14-day free trial. It is built mainly for marketers and agencies, so expect to spend real time on setup and on business texting registration.

Is an answering service better than software?

It depends on what you want. An answering service puts a person on the phone, which some callers like. It is typically priced per minute or per call and usually takes a message. Text-back and booking cost less per lead but are not a human voice.

How much should a small tree company spend on software?

There is no fixed rule. Add up each tool's monthly price from its own pricing page, then compare it to one or two extra jobs a month. If a tool does not pay for itself in a few months, drop it. Our free calculators help you check the numbers.

How do I choose without wasting months?

Write down the one job you lose most often: missed calls, slow quotes, forgotten follow-ups or late invoices. Pick software for that first, try it for two weeks with real jobs, and only then add the next tool.

Do you get paid to recommend any of these tools?

No. We have no affiliate deals with any company named here. We sell one option on this page, our own system, so read it with that in mind.

Are the facts about other companies up to date?

We took them from each company's own website on 26 Oct 2026 and link to the source. Features and prices change, so check their sites before you buy. If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
