No city-wide rule found
We found no city-wide permit rule for private trees in Lawrenceville. Street trees, protected sites and county or HOA rules can still apply.
In the city documents we could open, Lawrenceville's tree rules apply mainly to development: a tree protection and replacement plan must be approved before a development permit is issued. We did not find a separate permit rule for a homeowner removing one tree on an existing home lot. City code also regulates trees on public property and rights of way, so call the city's Planning and Development office before removing a large tree.
Confidence: Low. We could not fully confirm the rule from official city sources. Call the city to check. Last checked 26 October 2026. Not legal advice.
