For homeowners
How many quotes should I get for tree work?
Short answer
Get two or three written quotes for anything beyond a small job. Comparing them helps you spot prices that look too high or too low and shows you how each company communicates.

The longer answer
More quotes are not always better. Two or three is enough for most homeowners, and one or two can be fine for a small, simple job.
What matters most is comparing the same work. Ask each company to quote the same scope so you are not comparing a full removal against a partial one. If one quote includes stump grinding and another does not, the totals mean different things.
The cheapest quote is not automatically the best. A very low quote can mean skipped insurance, cut corners or extra charges later. A very high quote may mean the company is not keen on the job or priced in a lot of risk.
Use the quote visits to watch how each company behaves. Do they arrive on time, look at the tree up close and explain things clearly? That tells you a lot about how the job will go.

Hiring a tree service?
Plain guides for homeowners
Safety first: stay away from downed power lines and call the utility; call 911 if anyone is in danger. Lirevon does not do tree work. Find local pros on Google Maps and read their reviews, then get two or three written quotes.
