What is Net 30?

Short answer

Net 30 means the customer has 30 days after the invoice date to pay in full.

Net 30, explained for tree service owners

Commercial customers, such as property managers or cities, often pay on terms like net 30. That means your crew does the work and then waits a month for money, while fuel and payroll bills come sooner. Plan your cash for that gap. Some owners add a late fee in the contract where state law allows it, or ask for part up front. Send the invoice the same day and follow up politely before the due date. This is a short explanation, not legal advice. Write the terms on every estimate.
