Two hangers per US letter sheet. Pick a version for each side.
- In the print window choose Letter paper, margins None, scale 100%, and turn on background graphics.
- Print on card stock if your printer takes it. Cut down the middle dashed line.
- The dashed circle at the top is a cut guide. A print shop will use its own hole and slit line, so ask for it.

How the copy is built
- Storm: a calm headline, the neighborhood, what you clear up, a power line safety line, then your phone.
- Neighbor job: the general job you just did nearby, your services, then your phone.
- Seasonal: a plain reason this season suits tree work, your services, then your phone.
- Your offer, website, short link and license line are added to all three only if you filled them in. "Free" only shows if you ticked free estimates.
Questions about door hangers
What size is a door hanger?
The common size is 4.25 by 11 inches. Two fit on one US letter sheet, so you can print on card stock at home and cut down the middle, or send the file to a print shop. Ask the print shop for their exact hole and slit cut line before you order.
Can I put door hangers in mailboxes?
No. Federal law (18 U.S.C. 1725) bars putting items without postage in a mailbox, and the postal service also says nothing should be attached to the mailbox or its post. Hang it on the door handle instead. Short explanation, not legal advice.
Do I need a permit to hang door hangers?
It depends on your town. Some cities need solicitors or handbill distributors to register or get a permit, some limit the hours, and some ban leaving anything at homes with a "No soliciting" or "No handbills" sign. Call your city clerk or check the city code. Short explanation, not legal advice.
What should a tree service door hanger say?
Who you are, why you are on that street, what you do, how to reach you, and any offer with its full terms. Keep it short. A homeowner should get the point in a few seconds and see your phone number without searching for it.
Is it OK to hang door hangers after a storm?
Usually yes, if your town allows it. Keep the tone helpful, not scary. Remind people to stay away from downed power lines. Some states and towns add rules after a declared emergency, such as limits on price increases or contractor registration, so check before you work. Short explanation, not legal advice.
Can I mention a job I did for a neighbor?
Keep it generic, such as "a large oak removal on a nearby street". Do not name the customer or give their address unless they told you in writing that you may. This tool never asks for customer names.
Why a short link instead of a QR code?
A short link works for everyone, prints cleanly at any size and is easy to read aloud. If you make one page just for door hangers, the visits to that page tell you how many people looked you up from the hanger. You can still add a QR code yourself if you want one.
How do I know if my door hangers worked?
Write down how many you hung and on which streets. Use a short link only on the hanger, and ask every new caller how they heard about you. Compare jobs booked to hangers hung for each batch.
What offer should I put on a door hanger?
Only an offer you will honor for everyone who asks. Write the full terms: what the discount covers, the end date and any limits, such as one per household. Do not invent fake deadlines. An offer is optional; a clear phone number matters more.
What should I avoid writing?
Do not say a tree is dangerous or will fall unless you have inspected it and told the owner in person. Do not suggest the city, the utility or an insurance company sent you. Do not list licenses, insurance or awards you do not hold.
Is anything I type sent to Lirevon?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your entries are only kept in this browser on this device so the form is filled in next time. Clear your browser data to remove them.
A hanger only works if you answer
They call the number. Pick up every time.
Door hanger calls often come while your crew is up a tree. Lirevon sets up missed-call text-back, an AI receptionist, follow-ups and review requests for tree companies, so those calls turn into booked jobs.
