For tree service owners

Does a tree service website need a blog?

Short answer

Not at first. A blog helps only after your main pages are done: home, services, service areas, about and contact. Once those are strong, short helpful articles that answer real homeowner questions can bring in searches and show you know your trade.

The longer answer

Many small companies start a blog and stop after three posts. An empty or stale blog does more harm than good.

Build the core first. You need a clear home page, a page for each main service, pages for the towns you serve, an about page with real people and photos, and an easy way to call or request an estimate.

When those are done, add helpful content where you can be useful. Good topics come from your own phone calls. When do I prune an oak? Do I need a permit? What happens after a storm?

Write for the homeowner. Use short sentences and answer the question in the first line. Add a real photo if you have one. Link to the service page that fits.

Do not copy other sites or use generic text written by a tool without checking it. Make sure facts are right, and say when advice depends on the species or the town.

Quality beats volume. One good article a month that you keep up is better than a burst of posts and then silence.

Check your results. See which pages get visits and calls, then write more like those.

Our guide to tree service websites covers the pages to build first.
