For tree service owners
How do I follow up after giving a tree estimate?
Short answer
Follow up in a day or two with a short, friendly message. Thank them, ask if they have questions, and offer a time to start. Send one or two follow-ups, then stop. Only text people who agreed to be texted.

The longer answer
Many customers do not say yes right away. They get busy, or they are waiting on a second quote. A gentle follow-up often brings the job back.
Timing: a short thank-you message the same day, then one check-in a day or two later. A second check-in about a week later is fine if you still have no answer. After that, stop.
Tone: friendly and short. Use their name. Mention the job, such as the oak by the driveway. Ask a simple question: do you have any questions about the quote, or would you like a start date?
Offer help, not pressure. Say how long the quote is good for, if that is true. Do not invent a false deadline.
Channel: a phone call or email works well. For texts, only message people who gave you permission, and always give an easy way to opt out. Texting rules are strict in the US. This is a short explanation, not legal advice.
We have copy-and-paste follow-up texts and a planner to schedule them.
