What is Map pack?
Short answer
Map pack is the short list of local business listings, shown with a map, that Google often places near the top of search results for searches that have a local meaning.
Map pack, explained for tree service owners
When someone searches for a tree service near them, Google often shows a map with a few local businesses before the regular website results. That group is called the map pack. Being listed there can bring many calls, because the phone number and reviews are shown right away. Google decides who appears based on factors such as distance, relevance and how well known a business is. You cannot buy a place in it, but a complete Google Business Profile, steady reviews and accurate details improve your chances.
