For one-truck owner-operators

Your phone answers itself while you climb

Thank you for coming. If you run the saw, drive the truck and answer the phone yourself, this page is for you. I know the phone rings at the worst moment. Let us look at why those calls turn into lost jobs, and what fixes it.

What we found in October 2026

  • 92%

of 4,108 tree company websites we checked gave no way to text the business.

  • 93%

had no online booking for estimates.

  • 27%

of calls to home-service businesses go unanswered, and under 3% of those callers leave a voicemail (Invoca).

Our own check of 6,842 tree companies in 50 states, 2026-10-26.

I know you are facing this

One person, one phone, and work that does not stop for calls

You cannot answer from the tree

Rope in one hand, saw on your belt. The phone buzzes and you let it go, because you should. Safety comes first. But that caller wanted a quote.

Voicemail does not save you

You plan to call back at lunch. By then the homeowner has called the next name on Google. Very few people leave a message anymore.

Your evenings turn into callbacks

After a full day of work you sit in the truck returning calls. Some never pick up. Some already hired someone else.

Quotes live on scraps of paper

An estimate written on the back of a receipt. A follow-up you meant to send. Without an office, small leaks add up.

Let us dissect why

Why missed calls cost a one-truck company so much

  1. 01

The homeowner calls the next company

About 27% of calls to home-service businesses go unanswered, and under 3% of those callers leave a voicemail (Invoca). A missed call is rarely a message waiting for you. It is usually a call to someone else.

  2. 02

Most of your competitors are not fast either

In our October 2026 check of 6,842 tree companies, 92% of the 4,108 websites we checked gave no way to text the business, and 93% had no online booking. That is an opening. The first company to reply often gets the visit.

  3. 03

You are the only person on the phone

When one person climbs, drives, quotes and answers, the phone always loses. Hiring an office person is a big fixed cost for a one-truck company. A system can cover the gap for far less.

  4. 04

    Nothing follows up for you

Most owner-operators send a quote and wait. A short, polite follow-up the next day and again a few days later is easy to forget when you are busy, and easy for a system to do.

Not sure how many calls you miss? Call your own number from another phone and see what happens.

The fix

The Never-Miss-A-Job System, built for one truck

You keep climbing. The system answers, collects the details and books the estimate. You read a short summary when you come down.

01

Missed-call text-back in 30 seconds

You miss a call, the caller gets a friendly text from your business number within 30 seconds. They reply with the address and a photo while you keep working.

02

AI receptionist (300 minutes a month included)

When you cannot pick up, it answers, asks the right questions, and offers an estimate slot. You read a short summary when you come down.

03

Lead inbox on your phone

Calls, texts, website forms and Google messages in one list. You see who is new, who is waiting and who needs a quote.

04

Online booking for estimates

A link in every text lets the homeowner pick a time that suits your route. No phone tag at night.

05

Follow-ups and review requests

Quotes get a polite nudge. Finished jobs get a short review request with your Google link.

06

A fast site and a tuned Google profile

A 5-page website (or we keep yours if it works) and a Google Business Profile with every field filled in.

Each part has its own page on our services list. See the full system.

The process

Live in 7 days, about 90 minutes of your time

  1. Day 1Kickoff call, about 45 minutes. We learn your services, area, prices and how you talk. You set up call forwarding.
  2. Day 2We write your text-back message, follow-ups and receptionist script. You approve them in about 10 minutes.
  3. Days 2 to 6Carrier registration for business texting (3 to 7 business days). Website and Google profile work happen at the same time.
  4. Day 7Live. The next missed call gets its text. We watch every conversation for the first two weeks.
  5. Day 30First plain-English report: calls caught, replies, estimates booked, reviews added.

Do it yourself first

Write the text your callers should get, tonight, for free

Our free text-back script builder writes the message for you in two minutes. Even if you never hire us, you will know exactly what a missed caller should read. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

A sample, change it to your words

"Hi, this is the owner at [your company]. Sorry I missed you, I am up a tree right now. What is the address and what do you need done? A photo helps. I will text you back today."

Short, honest, and it asks for the two things you need to quote.

The offer

One plan, one price, a written guarantee

$497 a month

$997 setup, or $297 for the first 3 founding clients. No long contract. Cancel with 30 days' notice.

If it doesn't bring you 3 extra booked estimates in 60 days, we refund your setup fee.

The 60-day refund applies to the setup fee. It needs you to do your part: forward your calls, approve the texts in week one, and share the jobs you book. In return, founding clients give us a case study and a short video testimonial.

Honest note: we have no tree-service clients yet. Our first case studies are planned for December 2026. Founding clients get the lower setup fee because they help us prove it.

Questions owner-operators ask

I run one truck. Is this too much for a company my size?

No. This page is written for one-truck owners. The system does the office work you do not have time for: it answers missed calls by text, books estimates and follows up. Your part after setup is reading the lead inbox and doing the estimates.

Is it safe to answer the phone while I am working?

You should not answer from a tree or while running a saw. That is exactly why the text-back exists. The caller gets a reply within 30 seconds, and you deal with it when you are on the ground.

Will the texts sound like a robot?

No. We write them with you on the kickoff call, in your words, and you approve every message before it goes live. Short, friendly and plain, like a text you would send yourself.

What does the AI receptionist do when I am in a tree?

It answers calls you miss, asks for the address, the job and a good time, and offers an estimate slot. You get a short summary in the lead inbox. The Core plan includes 300 minutes a month.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. You keep your number. Calls you do not pick up are forwarded to the system, and texts go out under your business name. We set this up with you on day 1.

How much does it cost?

The Core plan is $497 a month with a $997 setup. The first 3 founding clients pay $297 setup. Phone carrier fees are billed at cost. See the pricing page for the full list.

How much of my time does setup take?

About 90 minutes in total across the first week: a 45-minute kickoff call, a few minutes to approve the texts, and setting up call forwarding.

What if it does not bring me more work?

If it doesn't bring you 3 extra booked estimates in 60 days, we refund your setup fee. No long contract. Cancel with 30 days' notice.

Do you have tree-service clients I can talk to?

Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. We are signing our first founding clients now, and our first case studies are planned for December 2026. That is why founding clients get the lower setup fee.

Is it legal to text people who call me?

Replying by text to someone who just called you is common, but business texting has rules, and the carriers require registration (A2P). We do the paperwork. This is a short explanation, not legal advice. Our texting rules guide has more.

Can I do some of this myself for free?

Yes. Start with our free text-back script builder and write the message you want callers to get. Then test your own phone with the answer rate test. If you want it all done and watched for you, that is what the system is for.
