For tree service owners
How do I find the right price for tree work in my area?
Short answer
Start with your own costs, then add a fair profit. Check what other local companies charge by reading their public pages or asking friends in the trade. Do not copy their prices blindly, since they may not cover their costs.

The longer answer
Pricing starts inside your own business, not outside it.
First, know your cost per crew hour: wages, taxes, insurance, truck and equipment costs, fuel, and a share of overhead. Our calculator helps you work this out with your own numbers.
Second, decide your profit. Profit is not what is left over. Plan it into the price.
Third, look around. Prices differ by town because costs, wages and demand differ. Ask a few friends in the trade what they see, read public pages of local companies, and track how often customers say yes at your price.
If almost everyone says yes at once, you may be too cheap. If almost no one does, look at your trust signals and your follow-up before you cut the price.
We do not publish prices for tree work because they change by place, tree and access. Build your own price guide from your numbers.
