For tree service owners
How do I stop missing calls at my tree service?
Short answer
Make sure every caller gets a person or a fast reply, even when the crew is busy. Count your missed calls first, decide who owns the phone during work hours, and add a text-back or an AI receptionist for the calls nobody can pick up.

The longer answer
Missed calls in this trade are often a process problem, not neglect. The climber is tied in, the chipper is running, and the phone is on the truck seat. That is a process problem, and a process can be fixed.
First, measure it. Look at your call log, count the calls that went to voicemail, and ask the crew how often they cannot answer. You cannot fix what you have not counted. Our answer rate test at /tools/answer-rate-test can help.
Next, decide who owns the phone during work hours. This can be an office person, a family member, a shared ring group, or a paid answering service. What matters is that a caller gets a person or a reply within minutes.
Then cover the gaps. A missed-call text-back sends a short message when nobody answers. An AI receptionist can answer, take the address and the problem, and pass it to you. Both work best with a quick human callback.
Finally, review the log each morning. Every missed call should have a note saying it was called back, booked or closed.
