For tree service owners
How do I use text messages to book tree work?
Short answer
Offer texting as an option, answer fast, and use it for photos and scheduling. Confirm the scope and price in a written estimate before any work starts.

The longer answer
Many homeowners like to text a photo of the tree first, and it is a good way to start. Put a number that can receive texts on your website and Google profile, and reply quickly.
Use texts to ask for photos, set a time for the estimate and send the written quote as a photo or PDF. Confirm the final scope, price and date in writing before work starts. Keep messages short and polite, and save the conversation with the job file.
Only text people who have contacted you or agreed to be texted, and let them stop messages if they ask. Texting rules are covered in our guide. This is a short explanation, not legal advice.
