For tree service owners
How does a new tree service get its first customers?
Short answer
Start close to home. Claim your Google Business Profile, ask friends, family and neighbors to spread the word, put your name on the truck, and do clean, careful work that earns reviews. Answer every call. Early customers come from being easy to find and easy to trust.

The longer answer
The first customers usually come from people who already know you. Tell friends, family, former coworkers and neighbors what you do and what areas you cover. Ask them to pass your number along.
Next, make yourself findable. A free Google Business Profile with your real services, photos and service area is one of the cheapest ways to show up when someone nearby searches. Keep your name, phone number and area the same everywhere.
Then earn proof. After each job, ask for a review with a direct link. Real reviews from real customers help the next homeowner decide. Never buy or write fake reviews, because Google can remove them and customers can spot them.
Be easy to reach. Many new owners lose jobs because they are up a tree when the phone rings. Reply by text soon after a missed call, and call back the same day.
Do the visible things well. A clean truck with your name on it, a tidy job site and a polite crew all create word of mouth. Door hangers near finished jobs can work in a tight area, but track whether they bring calls.
Do not promise what you cannot deliver, such as same-day work on every job. Slow, steady and honest tends to build the kind of reputation a new company needs.
