For tree service owners
How many Google reviews does a tree service need?
Short answer
There is no magic number. A steady flow of new, honest reviews matters more than hitting a target. Ask every customer, and look at the top tree companies in your own area to see what is normal there.

The longer answer
Review counts differ a lot from one market to the next, so a number from another city does not help you. The better move is to open Google Maps, search for tree service in your town and look at the companies near the top. That shows you what is normal in your market.
After that, focus on momentum. A profile that gets new reviews most weeks looks active to customers reading the listing. Ask at the end of the job, when the customer is happy and you are handing over the invoice. Send a direct review link by text so it takes one tap.
Never buy reviews, write your own or offer gifts or discounts in exchange for them. Google's rules do not allow it. Do not pick and choose only happy customers to ask, either. Ask everyone, and reply to every review politely.
