What is Average job value?

Short answer

Average job value is the typical amount a tree service earns from one completed job, found by dividing total job revenue by the number of jobs done.

Average job value, explained for tree service owners

Average job value turns lead counts into money. If you know what a typical removal, trim or stump job brings in, you can see what one missed call or one lost lead really costs. Use your own numbers from invoices, not a guess, and keep large storm or crane jobs separate from small trims so one big job does not hide the real picture. Once you know it, you can decide how much it is worth spending to win a lead, and how much a faster reply or an extra review could be worth over a year.
