What is Click-through rate?
Short answer
Click-through rate is the percentage of people who see an ad, listing or link and click it, found by dividing clicks by impressions and multiplying by 100.
Click-through rate, explained for tree service owners
Click-through rate, often called CTR, shows how often people who see your ad or search listing choose to click it. A low rate can mean the headline or photo does not match what homeowners need, or that your offer is unclear. To work it out, divide clicks by impressions, then multiply by 100. For a tree service, a strong rate matters because each click costs money on paid ads. Test one change at a time, such as a clearer headline about emergency tree removal, and compare results over a few weeks. A high click rate only helps if the visit turns into a call or a booked estimate.
