What is Chipper feed rollers?

Short answer

Chipper feed rollers are the powered rollers at the chute that pull branches into the blades at a steady pace.

Chipper feed rollers, explained for tree service owners

Feed rollers are the toothed rollers inside a chipper's chute that grab a branch and pull it toward the blades. They keep the feed steady, so the worker does not have to push. The rollers can be stopped or reversed, and many chippers have a bar or control that lets a worker quickly shut off the rollers in an emergency. Safety guides usually say to feed the butt end first, to stand to the side, and never to lean over the chute. A chipper can cause serious injury, so crews keep clothing close to the body and follow safety rules every time. This is a short plain explanation, not a training guide.
