What is Dispatch?
Short answer
Dispatch is the process of assigning jobs to crews, deciding who goes where, when and with which equipment, usually from one central schedule.
Dispatch, explained for tree service owners
Dispatch is how you decide which crew goes to which job, at what time, and with what equipment. A good dispatch plan builds in travel time, groups jobs in the same area, and leaves room for emergencies. For a tree service, storms and fallen-tree calls can change the plan in minutes. Keep one shared schedule that the office and crew leads can see, and update it when a job runs long. Confirm each appointment with the customer by text, so they know the arrival window. Good dispatch wastes less fuel and time, and it gives customers a reliable experience they will remember.
