What is Lead response time?

Short answer

Lead response time is the amount of time between a new lead contacting a business and the business making its first reply, whether by call, text or email.

Lead response time, explained for tree service owners

Lead response time is something you can measure and improve. Check when each lead arrived and when you first replied, then look at the average and at the slowest cases. For a tree service, slow replies often happen when crews are out on jobs, at night, or during storms when calls pile up. Customers asking several companies for help often go with whoever answers first. An automatic text reply can bring the first response time down even when no one can pick up the phone right away.
