What is Text-to-pay?

Short answer

Text-to-pay is a way for a business to send a payment request by text message, so the customer can pay by card through a secure link on their phone.

Text-to-pay, explained for tree service owners

Text-to-pay lets you send an invoice or payment request by text message. The customer taps a secure link, enters card details with the payment provider, and pays from their phone. For a tree service, this speeds up payment after a job, especially for homeowners who are not home when the crew finishes. It can also cut down on chasing checks. Only use links from a trusted payment provider, and never ask a customer to send card numbers by text or email. Make sure the amount and job details are clear in the message, and keep the payment record with the job.
