What this template is

An on-site estimate form is the sheet you fill in during the walk-around, before you set a price. It records what you saw, so the price, the crew and the equipment all match the real job.

It is not the priced estimate the customer signs. For that, use our free estimate template, which adds line items, totals, a deposit and plain terms. Some owners keep both: this form in the truck, the priced estimate in the inbox.

How to use it

  1. Open this page on your phone before the visit, or press "Print a blank copy" and keep a stack on a clipboard in the truck.
  2. Walk every tree with the customer. Write one line per tree: species if you know it, where it stands, rough size and what you will do.
  3. Tick the hazards and the access. These decide the crew, the gear and the risk, so they decide the price.
  4. Take the photos on the list. They help you price back at the office and settle questions after the job.
  5. Press Download CSV to keep a record, or print to PDF. Then build the priced estimate in the estimate template and set a follow-up date.

How the download works

Download CSV makes a spreadsheet file with three columns (section, field, value), one row per field. Tick boxes show as Yes or No. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. Download TXT makes a plain text copy you can paste into an email or a text. Both files are made inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is sent to us.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between this form and the estimate template?

This form is for the site visit: what you saw, the hazards and the gear you need. The estimate template is the priced document the customer reads and signs, with line items, totals and terms. Fill this one in first, then build the price.

Can I fill it in on my phone at the job?

Yes. The page works on a phone and saves what you type on that device, so a lost signal does not lose your notes. Download the CSV or save a PDF before you clear it.

How do I print blank copies for the truck?

Type your company name and phone, then press "Print a blank copy". You get the full form with your name at the top and empty lines and boxes to fill in by hand.

What does the CSV download contain?

One row for every field, with three columns: section, field and value. Tick boxes show as Yes or No. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, so you can keep a running log of every visit.

Is anything sent to Lirevon?

No. The form, the preview and the downloads all run inside your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or sent to us.

How do I measure the trunk without climbing?

Wrap a tape around the trunk about 4.5 feet above the ground and divide by 3.14 to get the diameter. Our tree size estimator also helps you estimate height and diameter from the ground.

Do I need to call 811 before stump grinding?

Short explanation, not legal advice: grinding goes below the ground, and 811 gets public buried lines marked for free. When a call is required differs by state. Private lines like sprinklers and pet fences are not marked, so ask the customer about them.

How fast should I send the priced estimate?

There is no fixed rule, but the job is freshest in the customer's mind right after the visit. Some owners send it the same day. Put a follow-up date on the form so the quote does not go quiet.
