For tree service owners
Is an AI receptionist worth it for a tree service?
Short answer
It can be, if you regularly miss calls while crews are working and you pair it with a fast human callback. It is a safety net for calls you cannot answer, not a replacement for your own follow-up.

The longer answer
An AI receptionist answers the phone and collects the basics: name, phone number, address and what the tree problem is. It can also send you a summary or text the caller a booking link.
It helps most when the phone sits on a truck seat while everyone is on a saw, or during a busy storm week. It helps less if you get few calls and can answer them yourself.
Before you rely on it, test it. Call your own number as a worried homeowner with storm damage, and again as someone who just wants a quote. Check that it never gives out prices or promises a time you cannot keep, and that it sends emergencies to a person quickly.
Be honest with callers. Some people hang up when they realize it is not a person, so a quick callback matters.
If you record calls, recording rules differ by state. This is general information, not legal advice. Compare booked estimates before and after to see if it pays off.
