A2P 10DLC, explained for tree service owners
US phone carriers expect a business to register its brand and the kind of texts it sends before it texts customers from a local number. That process is called A2P 10DLC, short for application-to-person, 10-digit long code. For a tree service owner it matters because unregistered texts, such as a missed-call text-back or a review request, can be filtered or blocked, so the customer never sees them. Registration usually means giving your business details and sample messages, and your texting provider normally files it for you. This is a short explanation, not legal advice, and carrier rules can change.
