What is internal link?

Short answer

An internal link is a link from one page of your website to another page on the same site.

internal link, explained for tree service owners

Internal links guide visitors and search engines around your website. A blog post about storm damage can link to your emergency tree service page. A service page can link to your pricing page and your free estimate form. They help people find the next step, and they show search engines which pages matter and how topics connect. Use clear anchor text and link to pages that are truly related. Do not stuff a page with dozens of links. For a tree service site, a good habit is that every guide links to at least one service page, and every service page links to a way to contact you.
