What is Call tracking?
Short answer
Call tracking is a system that records each phone call to a business and shows where it came from, such as a specific ad, listing or website page.
Call tracking, explained for tree service owners
Call tracking gives each marketing source its own phone number, or a tagged number, so you can see which ads, listings or pages produced each call. For a tree service, this answers a basic question: which spending actually brings the phone to ring? Good systems also record call length and whether the call was answered. Use it with care. Tell callers when a call may be recorded, where the law requires it, and keep recordings private. Pair call data with your lead log so you can see which calls turned into estimates and paid jobs.
