What is Close rate?
Short answer
Close rate is the percentage of estimates or quotes that turn into booked jobs, found by dividing the number of jobs won by the number of estimates given.
Close rate, explained for tree service owners
Close rate tells you how good you are at turning estimates into work. If you give many estimates but win few jobs, the problem may be price, slow follow-up, or a quote that is hard to understand. If you win most of them, you may be able to take on more leads. Track it by lead source, because a referral often closes differently than a lead from an ad. Close rate is different from answer rate, which only counts calls picked up. You need both to know what a lead is worth.
