What is Service area?

Short answer

Service area is the set of towns, counties or zip codes where a tree service is willing and able to work, usually listed on a website or Google Business Profile.

Service area, explained for tree service owners

Your service area is the set of places you are willing and able to reach for a job, such as a few towns, a county or a list of zip codes. For a tree service, a clear service area stops you from getting calls far outside your range and helps the right nearby customers find you. Set it by drive time, crew capacity and how much work you can handle without delays. Keep it the same on your website, your Google Business Profile and other listings. If you add a new town, update every listing so your details match. Only list areas you really cover.
